I’m having trouble getting sequences to update in FCP 4.5.

Is there a particular protocol to follow to make sure that a changed nested sequence gets updated automatically in a project?

    Thanks

If it has been rendered it usually won’t update. Right click the nest to open in viewer and then change a setting forcing a re-render (like opactiy, scale, etc.), then change it back to original setting. This is my work-around, there may be more/better ones.

It also depends on where the nest originated. As silly as it sounds, the 4.5 manual contains a good explanation of how to create and use nests. Not all of us do it properly.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
