I just installed 10.6.8 update and Resolve begins to launch then quickly crashes. I uninstalled Resolve 7.1.1 then installed 7.1.2 same thing. Also found a Q4000 update for 10.6.8 and installed that. Problem persists.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    Setup is…

    MacPro 12-core, 2.66, 24G RAM
    Q4000
CUDA v 4.0.17 (this was working fine under 10.6.7)
    Quadro driver: 256.02.25f01

I realize this was a mistake. Not sure how to back track now.

CUDA v4.0.17 has to be updated… I’m in the same boat will have to wait on NVidia.

    Davinci Resolve Mac 7.1:
    Mac Pro 12-Core
    24GB (six 4GB) memory
ATI Radeon HD 5770 and NVIDIA Quadro 4000
    Blackmagic Decklink Extreme 3D+

I think users with the Quadro 4000 are primarily affected:

Well I am in the process of doing a complete install of my system because of no time machine ( I had hoped to get another drive this week now I pay the price ) As a friend of mine told me today do not upgrade your system till its been out a few weeks and read the forums before you do. My system is down all because I updated to 10.6.8 I have never said a bad word about Apple but I did today, I am sorry Steve Jobs……You gave me the tools to back myself up and I preach to my kids all the time about hooking up time machine and always backing yourself up, I should listen to my won sermons!!
