Maybe a dumb question but I have footage shot on XHA1 and client has asked me to see about upconverting so a network would accept it. Apparently some network divisions won’t accept anything less than 1920X1080i mpeg-2 @ 50Mbps 4:2:2 Okay..well the HDV is 4.2.0 and 25Mbps.
Anyone ever upconvert without a problem? I’m just wondering that while you can upconvert…won’t you be just enhancing any tech limitations of the lessor format spec?

    Sorry to be thick-headed here.

    Thanks,

    Chaz
