Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to upconvert SD footage to fit my 1920X1080 sequence, and haven’t been able to get a straight answer so figured I’d see what I could find out on the cow. I’ve heard you can upconvert using a Kona card and the DVCPro HD setup, but unfortunately I have a blackmagic card installed. Tried a bunch of presets but nothing seems to be working. I have a Sony M35u deck connected via Hd/SDI to the blackmagic (No Firewire) When using the presets for capturing in DVCPro HD, Pro Res, 10Bit, etc, the capture screen is blank and doesn’t capture anything. Any thoughts? Is there another way to go about capturing this footage? I can get the footage either by capturing off a mini dv, or transfering the file to my system, but figured the best way to upconvert is to capture from tape. (Any good settings in compressor I could use? I’m editing on a mac pro, 10gb ram, in a pro res 1920X1080 60i sequence. Any help is much appreciated.
