I have a Kona Lhe card (an older one). I read it’s possible to upconvert SD to HD, but I didn’t succeed with this card when I tried, is it possible?

I’m going SD component into the Kona, and want to get to ProRes HD, so I can keep in the same codec as my other material – but as I say, I can only achieve ProRes SD.

    Thanks,

    Ken.

No, the LHe does not upconvert. The LHi and the Kona 3 both feature upconversion.

Thanks – I’ll have to save up for a Kona 3 then for the realtime upconvert. In the meantime I’ll use the Boris filter I have in FCP and AE.

    Cheers,

    Ken.

The LHi also does up convert for 1/2 the price.
