Ok… this is what I have. DVCPro tapes, a DVCPro 50 deck and Aja Kona 3 card and decklink. I need to take my DVCPro tapes and upconvert them to DVCPro HD. Is there anything else I would need for this upconversion?

[Shaun Lavery] “Is there anything else I would need for this upconversion?”

Nope, just make sure you understand how the AJA Control Panel works. This is where you’ll be setting up the Upconvert.

You need to go from your DVC Pro 50 deck into the Kona 3 via SDI. You set the Kona 3 to upconvert in the Kona control panel, along with how you want the upconvert to be done- center punch, window box or stretch. Then, in FCP, you set the capture settings to DVCPro HD.

For more info, you can access the help files in the Kona control panel.
