Upconvert SD to HD with LHi
I have access to a Kona LHi at work and would like to upconvert some old DV footage. I’ve already captured it via firewire using Premiere CS6 because I want to use the batch capture process to preserve the capture in and out points. Is there a way to utilize the Kona LHi to upconvert from SD to HD during the capture even though the capture is happening through a firewire card? (I assume not.) Or how do you utilize the card to upconvert once the footage has already been captured?

I’ve up converted from a Digi-Beta deck through SDI ports and I’ve done it with an old Media 100 system SDI out to the Kona 3 SDI in. Don’t think you can do it with firewire as that is the built in Computer (Mac or PC) port.
Redgiant makes some good HD up convert plugins you can batch up convert in After Effects or other program the plugin supports. It just won’t be real time.
