Upconvert SD (miniDV) to HD (1080)

Can the Kona upconvert SD (miniDV 24p 2:3 pulldown) to HD (HDCam 1080i24 8-bit) ?
Is the K2 intuitive in input from SD or HD, 24 or 30 fps?
Any word on when the driver will be available?
