Ok, this has been driving me nuts…

We use the up & down arrow keys to move the playhead to the head or tail of the next clip in the timeline, or the in or out point, right? Why won’t this principle work in the viewer? If I load a clip from the timeline into the viewer, the up arrow will allow me to move to the in point, however the down arrow moves to the head of the next clip IN THE TIMELINE, consequently loading THAT clip into the viewer. I realize that in the grand scheme of things it’s really not that big of a deal, but in the heat of the battle it seems like good cause for a bit of banging-head-against-desk.

Is there no way to move the playhead to the out point in the viewer?

    Many regards,

    Nick

That’s actually what happens in the timeline as well. The down arrow does not take you to the out point, it takes you to the beginning of the next shot, the next in point. Shift-O takes you to the out point.

    All the best,

    Tom
