    Hello,

I have alot of SD After Effects compositions in DV PAL 4-3 720×576 Pixels. I now wnat to use my design elements in a HDTV 1080×1920 24fps After Effects pre-set.

I am using solids, and After Effects text. Is there anyway from my SD compositions drag and drop the composition so it matches my new HD version from te SD after effects file?

I tried highlighing my sd composition then scaling it upto the new composition aize of the HDTV but it scaled all my solids from te middle of the screen.

If anyone has any ideas or tips then it would be great!

    Thanks,

    Leo

Algolith seems extremely pricey. There is also the option of blowing up using actions in Photoshop if blowing up is your only option at this point. Also for $500 you could get a copy of Shake (if you are on a Mac) which has quite useful scaling algorithms as well as numerous other things.

AE’s native scaling algorithms are laughable.

Try trhe “Scale Comp” script that comes with AE. It will maintain the relative arrangement of your items. As for the rest – you still need to adjust your effects, font sizes etc. manually. There’s no way around that, though there may be some other scripts that at least partly cater for that as well.

    Hello,

Thanks for the help. I will either re-create the design or use the script that was mentioned in Adobe After Effects.

    Thanks,

Martii, Can I just say you saved my behind today? Thank you for this bit of advice on up-rezzing to HD. I thought I was going to have to go through all 90 layers and adjust positioning and scale for each one.

To the Cow Powers that Be… This answer should be in the “Check Here First” thread.
