I need to convert an .mov file to flv via Squeeze but a strange issue has popped up. The master file has a 100% white background which is good in the uncompressed .mov, but after compression a faint, but unacceptable grey border around the white exists (the file has an alpha channel). I’ve experimented with the black and white restore but no luck. Has anyone else encounted this? I’ll give more details if necessary.

OK. I’m pretty convinced the issue lies with the alpha channel. Any advice?

I’m having the same issue, I believe. I’m exporting an flv with alpha channel from Squeeze using the On2VP6 codec and the resulting flv has a slight dark outline around the keyed subjects. I’ve tried several different settings to no avail. The key in FCP looks great so I don’t think that’s the problem. Anyone have any answers? Thanks!
