    Hi all,

Something rather odd has happened to me a few times using Premiere Pro.

My last example of this was a situation of moving some video footage onto the screen then across and off using 4 keyframes (so Keyframe A a position off screen, keyframe B a position on screen, moving across screen to C and then to D off-screen again).

But then playing back, I could see that between B and C the frame moved across screen, then suddenly changed direction and moved back towards B, before changing direction again and going to C.

I couldnt see any information from Premiere showing why it was doing this or that it was even doing it.

    Any ideas what causes this?

    Thanks

    Rob

Are the keyframes Linear, Bezier, Continuous Bezier, other? Sometimes non-linear paths go to undesirable locations.

The motion path can be adjusted as follows:

    1) In the Timeline panel, expand the track.
    2) In the track header click on the small arrow next to the keyframe diamond and ensure Show Keyframes is selected.
    3) Drag the track header up to make the track taller.
    4) Go to the clip in the timeline, click the pulldown next to the clip title, and select Motion>Position.
    5) Click on one of the keyframes; there should be handles to adjust the incoming and outgoing curves. Adjust the handles to ensure smooth motion between keyframes.
