    Hello all,

I’ve dealt with managing mono/stereo track issues from audio recorders for ages but I’ve got myself in a bit of a bind.

I have some mono mic recordings that were duplicated on both sides of a stereo track. Then we unlinked and deleted one of the channels thinking we could fill right/left or pan center or something to resolve the issue. But now that one of the stereo pairs is deleted, none of the filters work. And modifying the tracks properties doesn’t affect tracks in the timeline.

How do I get my independant L channel to pan center??

    Thanks all

    Cassidy

Well, first of all, you need to tell us what version of Premiere you’re using cause CS5.5 and before handle audio differently from CS6.

Second, how exactly did you delete one half of the audio?

What you really should do in this situation is, after you’ve imported your audio, but before any of it is in the timeline, select them all and right click Modify>Audio channels and then set them to Mono and disable channel 2.

    It is CS6.

Yep, I know. We had someone new on the project and here we are. I guess it was deleted by unlinking a stereo pair and deleting one of the channels. The channels are duplicates of course so we’re not missing anything we just need to pan the channel center.

The track is green and has a small L in the corner.

Thank you for your assistance 🙂
