Not precisely an After Effects question, but I thought I might get an answer here.

We are planning a shoot of some characters that wear very specific costumes that can’t be changed. We were planning on shooting them against green screen, until we saw their costumes had green in them. Then we looked and saw the costumes also had blue, orange , red, black, white, purple, yellow… Just about every color.
They all have to be shot at the same time as well.

The question is – anyone have an clever ideas about how to key these people – any new techniques?

    many thanks

Well, my suggestion would be to key them in a standard way against a green screen (as long as green isn’t incredibly dominant in the costume) and then use holdout masks to retain the green spots.
