Unsupported Resolution Error
Hello. I’m a newbie so please excuse any ignorance, I’m at the start of a steep learning curve! I have searched the forums far and wide to resolve an annoying problem that I have hit. I have only just started learning Avid HD and all was going fine until I tried to lay some music down. I have in my sequence some video and natural audio cut with some TIFF stills. It works fine when played, no problems. I tried to add music in MP3 format. When I tried to play it the dreaded “UNSUPPORTED RESOLUTION” error came up. I thought it might be because MP3 wasn’t supported so tried using the music straight off the CD. Same error appeared. I went to help and tried tinkling with the CONSOLIDATE / TRANSCODE option. No luck. The music works fine when played on it’s own. Same with the original video and audio. No such luck when I mix and match. Previous posts I have found did not draw a response. Can anyone out there help before my Avid life ends before it has started???

Check your project sample rate under the settings/ audio settings tab. It should be the same as the audio you imported.

You should be able to import tracks from the audio CD using File/Import.

Thanks for that Samuel. I checked the sample rates and they are both the same…Any other suggestions????

Hi Bill. Thanks for the help. I can import the audio OK and it plays back fine. It’s just when I try and add it to the sequence that the problems arise. Any other suggestions? I have hit a brick wall with this problem..
