Unsupported Audio Rate
OK … So I have a Sony DVD recorder and had a terrible time trying to import files into Premiere … Finally got the Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 to convert the files to mpeg. Now when I try and bring them into Premiere I get “Unsupported Audio Rate Error” and nothing gets imported … not even the movie. How on earth do I get around this??? I’m kind of under a time crunch … this darn thing wasn’t supposed to be this much trouble. Silly me I thought using a DVD recorder would have made things easier!

A matter of fact a dvd recorder makes things worse. Premiere does not take kindly to mpeg.
To which audio format did you convert, the best format is .wav. -
Whatever the default is for Sony …never seen it before POV … PV … don’t have it in front of me. I know the Roxio program will convert to multiple formats … I am trying to convert the video and audio together … thought I could do that with mpeg, but Premiere won’t let me import it. Should I chose a deferent video format other than mpeg? Do I have to try and seperate out the audio from the video and import them both on their own?

Usually for import issues simply decompressing the files works – Codec: Uncompressed or Compression: None.
I use AVS Video Converter.
For audio, PCM WAV is nice.Vince
