  • Unspecified Drawing Error in After Effects?

Posted by Daniel Barham on May 6, 2015 at 3:00 am

I am trying to do some animation in After Effects but I am constantly getting the message: “After Effects Warning: Unspecified Drawing Error” and several other messages including one saying I may have to install more RAM. I am not allowed to install more RAM on this computer as it belongs to my school. I have tried working off a hard drive but to no avail
Are there any other alternatives?? Please reply ASAP!
    THANKS! 🙂

If your hard drive has that little free space, it will certainly struggle! Clear stuff off of that hard drive!

What version of AE are you using? (And I mean down to the last decimal, so instead of saying something like “CC” or “CS6”, say something like “13.2.0.49”)

No trees were harmed in the creation of this message, but several thousand electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

Close your Audio panel. It worked for me.

I’m doing simple mask animations and was getting this error all over the place. Thank you for this recommendation! Fixed it right away!
