Anything that needs rendered shows up green on my external monitor. It shows up fine on my desktop monitor. It will play through the green Preview unrendered clips fine on my computer monitor but on the external monitor, the image is negative – green and pinkish purple. once rendered it looks and plays fine. we are on an apple running mac osx ver. 10.4.11 and using an aja kona 3 card. we are on FCP ver. 6.0.4. this is a new problem and as far as i know, none of the settings have been changed. thanks in advance.

Reset your easy setup. Things like that can happen when your output is set to 10 bit and your footage is 8 bit or vice versa.

I forgot to mention we are using 10 bit 422 ProRes at 23.98fps. This is what the media is and what the project is set to.

What are you using to monitor your footage?

    OK.

To start, hit control-q and bring up the easy setup window.

Then choose AJA KONA 3- 1080psf 23.98 Apple ProRes422 HQ from the drop down menu and hit Setup.

I had this problem recently with a Kona 3, it was also inverting the colour on unrendered clips at 10bit. I got round it by Uninstalling then Re-installing the Kona Driver/Codecs.
