I shot hundreds of photos for a client today. As I was shooting, I reviewed the photos every hour or so and they looked good. I also selectively deleted a handful of photos during the day. Towards the end of the day a few photos were “corrupted.” So I deleted them and put in a new CF because I was worried about the integrity of all of the photos I had taken earlier.

I then reviewed the card in my clients PC and the photos looked fine. I was relieved. However, now the card is unreadable and says it needs reformatting on my MAC and PC.

Can my clients photos be salvaged???
I welcome any guidance on this matter.

This sort of thing seems to happen a lot to me. I broke down and got stellar Phoenix recovery. It works really well on cf cards as long as you didn’t format them after the shoot. We have 2 mark II 5D’s and a 7D. Seems like every wedding or big event we have a problem with at least one card.
Can you still see the pics on the camera? What type of cf card reader are you using? Did it eject properly.
