Hey Mark this is the first Ive heard about 1099 someone in this situation exactly how is that beneficial in getting paid. Is it a matter of involving the ORS somehow and using that as a pesuasive tactic? Thanks in advance.

What a great idea. I’d make sure that the late fees were stiff, and 1099 him for the entire amount.

The key question is whether you want to work for this client anymore if he is happy to treat you like this. I have called a client before and told them I was coming to their office to pick a cheque up – it was there when I arrived.
Principals – he is sat on your money, doesnt want to pay and would happily see you go without beer money, food and petrol to avoid paying you.
