    Hi

I nested the video tracks of my sequence leaving the audio tracks unnested. I am trying to unnest the nested video tracks by double clicking it and naturally this only opens the nested video tracks in another sequence with no audio tracks.

Is there a way to unnest the video tracks within the same sequence so that I have my full sequence with both audio and video tracks.

    Does it make sense?

    Thanks

    Zee.

Just open the nest and copy the contents. Then go back to your original timeline and paste over the nest.

Sure… I understand. Make sure that you have a copy of your nested sequence in your project first (for safety reasons). Open your nest, copy the media, go back to your original timeline, delete your nest, and paste your media back to where it came from. After all that, you’ll need to relink your audio so that you don’t have any sync problems. That’s it!

    Thanks for the reply

What do you mean by re-linking the audio??? How do I do that.

Well… once you copy your video back, your video and tracks will not be linked anymore. The simpliest way is to select your video and the corresponding audio tracks, go to the Modify menu and select Link. That will tell that video to move with that audio. This is important because if you move your video, the audio will be out of sync.

CMD + drag the nested sequence from the Browser back into the timeline. It’s the best way.
