October 22, 2015 at 2:52 amMake sure that you don’t have Ignore Event grouping enabled. if you do, grouping will be ignored.

October 22, 2015 at 9:48 pmthis is audio and video clips not ‘locked’, they come onto the timeline as seperated audio and video tracks and nothing will lock them together. i have to cut the video and audio track individually.

October 23, 2015 at 1:01 amDid you toggle Ignore Event Grouping? (Ctrl+Shift+U) What was the effect of that? It really sounds like you have Ignore Event Grouping enabled.

Why didn’t you use the Vegas Pro Device Explorer? That’s how you should be importing footage from a camera card.

October 23, 2015 at 12:23 pmAH!! my HP laptop has an express card slot which i use to import SxS footage, so ive NEVER used device explorer.
the clients Alienware (Dell) laptop has the USB card reader, so maybe Vegas auto uses Device Explorer?

Have you tried the Sony Creative Software SxS UDF Driver software? This enables read/write of MXF files recorded in UDF mode on SxS memory cards.
