Hi I saw this blog post on how to change the “approved” list of Nvidia CUDA cards to enable harware playback using CUDA cores in all Nvidia graphics cards, and figured that some of you might have tried the technique-

    https://www.studio1productions.com/Articles/PremiereCS5.htm

I have PP for Mac and could not get it to work on the Mac version (Mac instructions are way at the bottom). Steps 10 and 11 did not turn out right, I think that the file they have you edit is not where it is listed, I got an error trying to do a save in step 11. My question is: Has anyone succeeded on the mac version, if so how did you do it?

From reading many posts here I know a lot of you are very conservative and would never do anything not specifically recommended by the vendor/manufacturer, so this post is not for you as it expands the list of “official” Nvidia cards that can do this type of processing and I am certain you would caution against even trying it out. I am willing to assume the risk for testing purposes (note that its easy to turn off HW processing).

I myself just want to play around with it using some of my prior mac projects, kind of just for fun and to see how it works. So please let me know if you were able to get it working and how you did it. Thanks.
