Switching from fcp to pp5.5 and so far really enjoying it. I’m setting up my custom keyboard commands but can’t find one for unlinking audio/video. Does this exist?

    Hi Pete,

If you look in your Keyboard customization settings under Application > Clip, you’ll see unlink.

Yeah, I saw that one, but I was looking for one in the sequence panel.

OK, I just found out that it works in the sequence as well. Thanks for the tip. It’s fun experimenting again.

    Hi guys,

Sorry but I’m using Premiere Pro 5.5. and there is no “unlink” option under Keyboard Shortcuts > application > clip.

    Thoughts?

Which one was it that you found that works for the sequence unlink, please?

Search option in Keyboard shortcuts menu could make things easier.

Ctrl+L (which establishes them as linked will toggle to unlink)

If you can’t find the Unlink shortcut command, try finding “Link”

Under Keyboard Shortcuts / Clip / Link

you can also type “Link” in the search bar,

    then create a shortcut, ^^ like Command+L.

This can function as unlinking the video and audio, but not relinking them.

But you can always Cmd+Z, this shortcut is all you really need.
