  • Unlink audio and video when I didn’t ask for it

Hi guys, I’m new on DaVinci resolve. I usually work with Premiere or Avid.

I noticed a huge bug. I applied some shortcuts, one of the must usefull is the ripple CUT.

If i remove a portion of a clip (in it’s middle for instance) audio and video unlink on the right portion. And an out of sync appear (while the sync is still right though). As a result, if I try to apply a trim to the cut, some tracks are selected but the “out of sync” or “unlinked” one is not. So on every ripple cut I apply, I need to link audio and video back! Its amazing!

Does anybody go a solution for this ????

    Thanx a lot

    Marc

Marc, that is not normal behavior.

I’m using Resolve Studios 18.6.6 build 7 and I’m not seeing this.

Is your “Link Selection” icon enabled in the Timeline tools?

I just added a Clip with 2 channels of audio to a Timelime, Marked an In/Out in the middle of the clip, used my “Ripple Delete” kb shortcut and that selection is deleted and if I click on the 1st part of clip the audio & video are selected as Linked Clips and the new 2nd part of clip(After the Ripple) is also treated as Linked audio & video. That is normal behavior.
