I was trying to build a disc in Encore CS3 today and got this message
Unknown Error -12004. I called Adobe and spent 2 ½ hours on the phone with two different technicians trying to solve the problem. After all that time they had to tell me that they would need to call me back because they had no solution. I’m using a single timeline with a couple different video files. The main video is a M2V file and the others are MPEG 2. For Some reason I can build a project with 1 of each of the files on the timeline but not both.
I can’t be the only person who has encountered this problem here’s what I’m using.

    The M2Vs use these settings
I’m filming in 720P 29.97 drop frame to m2t files
Editing in Adobe premiere CS3 and exporting to SD using these settings
    MPEG-DVD
    720 x 480 4:3
    Export Video and Audio
    Quality High (5)
    CBR 8mbps
    Progressive fields

    Audio: 16Bit 48 kHz

The MPEG 2s use these settings only used for intros and credits
    720×480
    6000 kbps
    Interlaced field order B

Ruud Blauw provided an excellent answer in the Adobe U2U forum topic that you started. Do let us know here as well if his suggestions worked.

Yes it seems that making the switch from PCM to Dolby worked or has worked so far. I haven’t had the error since but now I have a new issue.

    Thanks for Your help!
