Unknown stream – HP digital photo camera
Ladies, gentlemen,
I’m trying to send little videos I captured with my HP 735 Photosmart camera to friends abroad. I can view them on my PC with Windows Media player, but when I try to import them in Vegas 5.0 a message appears saying that the stream format is unknown. I would like to add some titles and then compress to MPG2, to further reduce the size. Does anyone have any ideas of what is going on and what could be done so I can manipulate the videos in Vegas?

I’m pretty sure you need an MJPEG codec such as Morgan to be able to view and edit these.
Can’t remember the exact source but a search for MJPEG should turn something up.I must admit, though, that I don’t understand why Media Player can play these whilst Vegas on the same computer cannot.
