I doubt that you will find one. There is no ‘HDV spec’ like there is for DV. The only thing about it that’s standard is the mini DV tape that they all use.

Panasonic does not shoot any HDV, The Canon and Sony formats should both work in the Sony Deck and the JVC is all alone in their format and deck.

thanks for the answers, so we trief both the sony and the jvc deck.
the sony would not play canon progressive stuff, but played the interlaced, so we bought the sony,,
