  • Uninstalling audio filters

    Hi –
    I have recently inherited a used G4.
The previous owner was an audio guy who had installed a bunch of 3rd party Final Cut audio filters.
When I was cleaning off the drive I deleted some of these, and now I regret it.
Final Cut now keeps searching for these files every time it starts up, and randomly while I’m using it. How can I completely uninstall these missing filters? I checked in every preferences menu I can think of to no avail.

The best fix is to reinstall everything from the ground up. i.e. the OS and FCP. There are no “third party filters” other than AU filters which the software shouldn’t be looking for in a normal boot up if they are third party… Plus if you reinstall everything from the ground up, you’ll have a very stable system.
