Uninstall and reinstall avid/ trial version
Hi folks,
I download Avid with the intention to learn it through a Lynda.com course, but I never actually began the Lynda course or used Avid. I think I literally opened Avid one time and never actually used it to edit. I now have the time to actually take the nine hour Lynda course, but my trial is expired. Is it possible to uninstall and reinstall Avid to get a trial version again? I don’t want to pay $75 or so/month before I try the program out.

If it were that easy, then people would do this and never pay to use it. Alas, no, you can’t do this.

They have a new, free version, Media Composer First. I don’t know that much about it since I just heard of it, but I know it doesn’t have all the features of the full version but it will give you a taste of what Avid is like.

MC First is not out yet but should be available before the end of this month (June) 2017.
