I can’t get AE701 to accept unicode shortcuts. Ie., Alt+0174 for Circle R or 016,9 TM or C.

I use Adobe Type Manager on Windows.

I can paste Circle R or TM etc from notepad, Illustrator or Char Map, but I can’t use the ALT+0000 shortcuts to input Unicode Extended to AE.

    What’s going on?

Thanks for any help. Esp Cirle R & C!

    Also,

What Font Manager do you use for Type 1’s on PC? I bought ATM eons ago, and Adobe never updates it. What program is superior for font handling?

    Thanks again Cows!

Honestly I’m more of a mac guy, so I’m not familiar with Font Managers, but I’m using AE on Windows in boot camp until CS3 ships and I can tell you that the unicode shortcuts (the few I can remember/look up now and then) flat out don’t work in AE. I usually use the character map.

I also use charmap…it is so easy and always works for me.

Okay, so my machine is not messed up somehow.

Why on earth did they exclude this functionality? Curious.

    Thanks
