unfolding a road?
So, I have this graphic based shot (no live action) of a winding road.
I’d like to have the road kind of expand or unfold from the base of the frame out into the distance.
I was thinking about taking the graphic of the road and splitting it up in Z-space and using animated masks to reveal portions of the road as it rolls off into the distance.
Just wondering if anyone’s done something similar or has a more creative way of achieving the effect.

I would recreate the road as a separate layer, getting smaller but not as much as in the drawing. Then I would precomp that, make it 3d and position it it space to match the drawing. In the precomp you can then animate a mask that reveals the road.
