  Unexpected quits on open and when editing capture settings

  FCP regularly crashes on open, 5 or 10 times in a row and then mysteriously starts working as if nothing happened… I wondered what is wrong so I trashed the preferences files with FCP Rescue and reinstalled the Blackmagic drivers, but that did not make a difference; and I noticed that FCP also quits when I try to duplicate or edit the Blackmagic capture setting (to recreate an anamorphic version of the setting). Anybody a clue what is going on here – is it lethal or just a cold?
