  Unexpected frame rate

  I needed to take a video clip with an alpha channel and freeze and hold the graphic. Not a big deal. Worked pretty easily, however I wanted to export the clip as a quicktime in the animation codec with an alpha channel.

  I got the quicktime out of motion by going through compressor, however the frame rate was not 29.97 but 2.6 frames per second according to the info window in the quicktime player. I need this frame rate so I can import this clip into another piece of software that doesn’t like clips at odd rates like 2.6.

  I tried several things in compressor, trying to force the 29.97 and kept getting the same poor frame rate.

  I finally passed the clip through after effects and got the desired result with no problem. Am I missing something, or is there some reason I was having this frame rate trouble?
