unexpected error at launch. i’ve tried every solution and none have worked.
I had to change my scratch disk today and as soon as I did that, during launch, I have been the unexpected error message. I’ve tried every single solution I can find on the matter and none have worked. Is there any last hope I could have. I’m getting really desperate as I have serious amount of work to get done.

It would help us if you told us what you have tried. No offense but obviously you have not tried every thing because it is still not working. Everything to you is not every thing to others.

Once you get your system up and going make a clone of your system drive that you can boot from when something like this happens and you have a deadline.
There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.

Yeah, I guess in my hurry I left out a lot of detail. First, I tried deleting the preferences, Then, I tried unmounting the drive I was using so I had to reselect my scratch disk. After that, I crated a new user so I would have to create new preferences again. Then I tried repairing my disk permissions. Finally, I did most of these while restarted between launch attempts.
Thanks for the cloned drive advice. That will be very helpful.
