Undocumented Feature: Reveal Multiple Items in Finder
I’m sure everyone is familiar with the reveal in finder command which is a great way to show the source file of an item in the browser or timeline in the location it exists on your hard drive. If you use this feature, you’ve probably discovered it only works with one item at a time – highlight two or more and the option in greyed out.
So when I discovered neat little technique for revealing more than one item in finder simultaneously I thought was worth sharing…enjoy 🙂

Sadly, it seems like this feature has been removed in a recent version of FCPX. I tested it multiple ways but it now reveals just the one selected clip, not the connected clips (or compound clip) in the secondary storyline.
Doug (or anyone!), if you can prove me wrong and there’s still a way to reveal multiple clips in the Finder, please let me know!

Curious – I just tested it and it seems to be still behaving as in the video. This is running Mojave and FCPX 10.4.6
