    Hi all.
    Working on MC 8.5.3 and wondering if anyone knows of a plug-in (or a technique) that can lessen the effect of a fish eye lens. Footage is 1080p and so is project so can’t scale up too much.

    There is nothing native to Media Composer, but I believe Boris has a effect that can. Also, depending on what you used to shoot with, the camera supplier sometimes provides tools to work with that footage – for example, GoPro.

    I have removed the extreme wide angle distortion from GoPro HD footage using Adobe Lightroom. Lightroom has a lens correction profile for GoPro, which may at least give you a starting point.

    Indeed, BCC Lens Correction was designed specifically for this purpose. Here’s a link to a tutorial which shows the workflow (although it’s being shown in the PP timeline the workflow and results are identical in Avid MC) :
