How do I get them back?

You don’t. It’s one way only.

Say if I want to manipulate the color on one of them later on, how do I retrieve the track from the multicam edit?

Apply the color correction to the Media in the Project Media pool. This will affect it on whatever track it happens to be on.

Thank you, those are sensible work arounds. I also save the project as a unique filename just before the seemingly destructive ‘create multitrack’ operation.

When I switch to a different camera, it obviously creates a new event in the timeline. At the moment the default is a straight cut from one cam to the next. IS there a way to set the default as a fade/merge instead? Like over 1 second? Sorry I don’t know the technical terms.

Or are fades a bit naff? I don’t see them on TV much, but equally I don’t like the jerkiness of a simple cut, even if it’s in time to music! Thanks for any tips

In a multi-camera editing project, you can automatically apply crossfades to your cuts. To do so, hold the Ctrl key while you click the camera feed to call a shot. This creates a crossfade instead of a cut, with the alignment and duration determined by the Cut-to-overlap conversion settings from the Editing tab of the Preferences dialog.

Same scenario here and I need help.

I had video track 1 and track 2.
I know I needed to color correct track 2 from the second camera but I figured I would go back after doing the multicamera edit (like I do in Premiere) and apply the color correction to the entire track 2.

Well…., Track 2 seems to be gone for ever! 🙂

Instead of adding the plug-in to each and every clip. Is there a better way to do it?

This is a 45 minute video and has a countless number of cuts.

ok I just read the part about adding the color correction to the pool. Let me try to figure that out and do that to see how that works out.

The easiest way is to right-click the event and select Media FX… from the context menu.
