I’m looking to rent an underwater housing for the Varicam. Anyone know who has one?

    Cheers

    Hi,

I have a housing for the Varicam. Details are at http://www.coralseatv.com. I am in Sydney Australia though so it may not be practical!

I was just about to send a post anyhow asking if anyone else has used the Varicam underwater. As we have a big shoot coming up and I was trying to get some ideas about what mode to shoot in. I.e. video mode with the cine gamma or just straigh video mode. The final use will be the video projected at a marine education centre. We will probably shoot in 60p. The shot is in the sea and the housing is locked-off.

I did see a company in the US that make a housing for the Varicam. Just type in “Varicam underwater housing” on google and you might find them.

    Regards

Are you needing to just break the surface of the water or to go deep?
