Understanding “parent” tracks and compositing modes…
Hello,
Is there any good info on the net or training DVDs that focus on using the Compositing modes in Vegas? I am also unfamiliar with the “parent-child” idea regarding video tracks. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You could buy Gary Kleiner’s tutorials.

It was for Vegas 5 but is still relevant. -
Parenting modes are covered pretty well in the Absolute Training Series from VASST. There are currently 9 DVDs in the series.
Edward Troxel has very good compositing information in his newsletters.
