Underexposure – How to increase exposure
I have tried to colour correct this footage ,increasing it’s exposure but the size of the video went from a few MB to 4 GB. Is there a way to fix without making the video heavy?

That sounds more like a file format issue than color correction issue. Did you export your color corrected footage in a different format from the original?

the file format was an mp4 and i export it to avi.

MP4 is a highly compressed file format while AVI is usually not.
Uncompressed AVI is a good intermediate format for editing. You don’t want to compress for editing, just for output. So you could edit in AVI and output or convert final to MP4 (if that’s possible in Sony Vegas). I often output to AVI and use Media Encoder to convert to delivery formats.
