uncompressing for DVD
I need to find a format that is small enough to transfer on the web, but can then be burned onto a DVD without losing too much quality. I’ve heard that H.264 is bad for that. I’m currently experimenting with a few different codecs, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

What do you mean, transfer on the web? Do you mean FTP to people, or
to stream or progressive download to viewers?
