    Hello,

I am using FCP HD and want to edit Betacam SP source ftg. What I did was capture using another computer that has FCP 4.1, and brought the quicktime capture files to this computer with FCP HD to import into the bin. For the sequence setting, I selected uncompressed 10-bit, NTSC 48 kHz (my first preference would be photo jpeg, but the frame size is too small).

Anyway, every element dropped into the timeline comes up as needing to be rendered. There’s got to be something simple I am overlooking.

    Thanks!
    -Joe

How was it captured? What capture card/device was used? Once you find out what settings were used to capture it (say the Decklink 8-but uncompressed, or decklink 10-bit) then you need ot use those same EXACT settings on our other machine.
