I need to have an uncompressed QuickTime that can be usable on the windows side of the editing world. If I export an uncompressed QuickTime from FCP, it won’t be recgnized in pc based editing programs. Is there a way to convert an FCP uncompressed QuickTime to a regular uncompressed QuickTime? I would like to avoid exporting out as an MPEG 4 or something that is compressed so that it will work in the PC world Thanks

The others have given several good solutions, just keep in mind that those files will be large files, and the only hard drive format that works well with both mac & PC is Fat32, and Fat32 has a 4GB file size limit.

Depending on what you are doing it may be beat to lay it to tape and then have it recaptured on the PC.

Are you talking about the 8/10b Uncompressed or the NONE?
If you are talking about the 8/10b Unc, you can use the Balckmagic 8/10b Unc that are compatible Mac/PC. You can downlad them for free in the Desklink web site.
If you are talking about the NONE, you can export AVI NONE files with QT. You can as well export AVI Animation that every PC will open.

I realize it’s now 2009 and I’m responding to a 2007 thread, but this solution worked perfectly for me. Thanks rafalaous.
