Unable to upconvert SD to HD
Hi all
Really need your help. I’m trying to up convert some standard def footage to 1080 29.97 with My LHe card. I have tried every combination I can think of on both Mac and PC (w CS5) and no matter what I do, it won’t upconvert. The downcovert icons show up and work just fine, but whether I try analog or digital inputs, use the 720×486 SD as the primary or secondary format, nothing works.Since this is happening on both computers, I’m hoping I just am missing something.

I beleive one of the LHe’s limitations (the LHe Plus as well as indicated here: https://www.aja.com/products/kona/kona_comparison.php) is that it can’t upconvert in hardware. You’ll have to use software to do so (IE capture SD and then render to HD via Media Encoder.)
