I have a 15 min, 1080p GoPro video I took recently of some hiking to certain areas. The problem is that there is a lot of shaking and I was trying to use the Warp Stabilizer VFX to deshake. The problem is that I keep running out of memory, and rescaling is 150%. Obviously, this isn’t working too well and I would appreciate some suggestions as to how to proceed.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Try the stabilization function in the Motion Tracker. Be prepared to use several tracking points in series because 15 minutes is a very long duration. If the stabilized image goes too far out of frame you can adjust the Position values for the clip.

Thanks, Ivan, but for now I’ve switched to Virtualdub and deshaker plug-in. This was something I used several years back and had nearly forgotten about it until I started having “out of memory” trouble with this footage and AE. Virtualdub doesn’t seem to have the same issues, although it is creating a huge nearly 200 GB AVI that I will have to compress in either AE or Vegas.
