Unable to re-link media files CS 5
I am working on a project started by another editor on a drive I received today.
The only clips that are not re-linking to the MXF files on the drive are the clips where the source drive in the clip info is not the same as the drive I am working off of: e.g. I am working off of drive J1 and each clip that successfully re-links has J1 in the Drive Column, while the clips that are no longer able to re-link have various other drive source info.
I am working in CS 5 and I have not been told if the original project was CS 5 or 6 (I’m assuming 5 since the GFX imported OK and that’s where I usually run into issues when changing versions).
Additionally, I’ve tried re-linking through AMA to the source MXF and this crashes Avid every time–I could be misunderstanding the use of AMA because I am new to working in Avid on my own and not in a post-production house setting, so this is the first time I’ve tried to use AMA in any capacity.
