I am trying to use 3D camera tracker, and not matter what layer I use it on I get this error.

There is no dynamic link involved in this project.

Any ideas what this could be?

This project was started in Ae 2020. It worked and then it didn’t.

Opened the same project in Ae 2019 and it works.

    Hmm.

Pretty sure this is a problem with 2020. I’ve been getting a similar error, inconsistently, when using the Warp Stabilizer.

I am getting an “unable to obtain dynamiclink project” error when I try to reapply Warp Stabilizer to a clip that had to be extended in length.

As Dynamic Link has caused problems for me in the past, my workflow for the past 3+ years is to copy/paste footage from Premiere Pro into a new After Effects timeline, and render a ProRes file. This has worked flawlessly for me, and no need to mess with Dynamic Link once I had the files in AE.

Today, I opened a project that contained some previously warp stabilized clips, one of which had to be extended in length. So, naturally I had to re-analyize that clip and re-stabilize it. However, now I’m getting the dreaded “unable to obtain dynamiclink project” error message…..but there IS NO DYNAMIC LINK PROJECT as I didn’t create one. What’s frustrating is that I tried replacing the clip, and reapplying warp stabilizer, but I still get the same error message. So now I am unable to use my project.

I have tried importing the files into a new project, but no luck. I copied and pasted the existing files into a new project, but again, no luck.

BTW, I am using the same versions of AE and PP, as you can’t copy and paste between them.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, to avoid completely rebuild my complex AE project.

What version of After Effects are you on? I stopped getting the error at some point (not sure exactly how/when), and I think it was an update that fixed it.

I’m using version 17.0.6 After Effects.

I don’t dare update this and Premiere Pro as I’m in the middle of multiple projects.
