I’ve been having problems with my Blackmagic card lately. So i uninstalled and reinstalled the software and I did the same with Final Cut Pro to be safe. And when I open up Final Cut it lets me select the black magic setting and then says it is unable to locate the external device “Blackmagic HDTV etc.” Any ideas what i could do? thanks

Is the card showing up in System Profile?

Are you able to toggle the options in the DeckLink Preferences?

In Final Cut Pro, open Audio/Video Settings, click on the Capture Presets Editor, edit the current present you’re on and check if the digitizer is set up correctly.

    regards

The card is on my system preferences, but everything is greyed out. In Final Cut it allows me to choose the blackmagic card, but my playback output options says it’s missing. How do i check if the digitizer is set up correctly? Also when i try and run the blackmagic speed test it says that the hardware is not found. It’s in the top slot of my G5.
