Unable to Initialize Capture Device
Hi,
My issue is “Unable to Initialize Capture Device”.
I have searched through CW and can’t find anything that helps solve the problem. I have checked all my settings and can’t find anything obvious that will get it connecting again. I have just finished one project and have started capturing the next. However i did use the camera as an output source to play through to the screen. since then i cannot seem to get the camera to re-connect with FCP.
I have been through all the camera settings and FCP settings and all are as before when capturing footage from previous project.
I am capturing from a Sony HDV camera through firewire.Capture Preset = HDV
Device control = HDV Firewire
Sequence = HDV 24fpsLatest OSX and Latest FCP.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Choose the HDV 1080i60 Easy Setup and try again. HDV does not run at 24fps.
